Privacy Policy

Short version: your money numbers stay on your computer, encrypted. We never see them, and we cannot recover them for you.

Who we are

Forecast by MOSS is made by Money Decluttered with MOSS (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@mossfixesmoney.com.

Your financial data

Everything you type into the app (balances, income, expenses, subscriptions, settings) is saved only in an encrypted file on your computer. It is encrypted with your password. We have no copy, no account system and no way to open it. This is why a lost password and a lost recovery key cannot be fixed by us.

What leaves your computer

• Licence check. When you enter a licence key, and about every 12 hours after that, the app sends your licence key, a device label (“Windows PC”) and an installation ID to our licence server, which asks Lemon Squeezy whether the key is valid. We get back your name, email address and plan, and keep them inside your encrypted file so the app can show “Licensed to…”. The licence server runs on Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver the service.
• Exchange rates (optional). If you use a second currency and have not turned this off in Settings, the app asks a public exchange-rate service for rates. Only currency codes are sent, never your numbers. Choose “Stay fully offline” in Settings to switch it off.
• Buying. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who sells the app to you as the merchant of record. They collect your name, email, payment details and billing location, and handle sales tax. We receive your name, email and order details from them. Lemon Squeezy’s own privacy policy covers what they do with your information.

What we do not do

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking inside the app, and we do not sell or share your information. We only keep the purchase and licence details needed to run your licence and answer support questions.

Your choices

You can ask us what purchase and licence information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (we may need to keep order records that the law requires). Write to support@mossfixesmoney.com. Payment details are held by Lemon Squeezy, not by us.

Children

The app is for adults managing their own money. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If we change this policy, the app shows you the new version and asks you to accept it again. Each time you accept, the app records the date and time on your computer.
